Mariano, have you heard of the subjunctive? It's a nice thing. Don't be afraid, it won't bite you. It can even be fun.

But are there still Litfiba albums to review? How many have they made?

I, on the other hand, had guiltlessly forgotten it on the shelves. Yesterday I picked it up again, and I must say it is truly beautiful, almost unique within the Italian scene, so carefully crafted in its sounds and arrangements. One question arises: is it possible to make Italian music like this? And if so, why is it so rare? And so unknown? An anthem to a season of hopes that were then buried.

So, throughout the web, including English-language sites, there isn't a decent review of this album... except for this one... well done. I'm really liking the band; they seem solid.

great review, excellent choice as well, perhaps the most badass album from a band that's already badass in its own right. however, the record contains some gems, including the aforementioned we dance...
The Smiths Strangeways, Here We Come
Voto:
The problem with the review is that it begins by declaring Strangeways as the album of disaster. And then, obviously, as becomes clear later, such a catastrophic premise is contradicted. Because even the reviewer knows that this is still a good work, certainly the least of the Smiths, certainly with evident flaws, but here there is no disaster and no stain on the reputation. The Smiths left pure, unblemished. Unless the game is to pick the worst albums of the best bands and declare them disasters. A disaster is Cut the Crap by The Clash. Not this.

Here. Compared to what comes out now (and I’m referring to music for Anglo-American teenagers, so those who bring me examples of hyper-alternative bands with a mature sound should refrain), the much-maligned Britpop was gold. The recent post-punk revival that shows no signs of ending is reaching levels of inaneness and ridiculousness that are truly unparalleled. When The Strokes emerged, they were said to be derivative. Well: compared to what comes out now, The Strokes were original.

Whatever they may say, the suede weren't bad at all, and this is definitely a good debut.

Oh yes. Now there will be comments from those who will defend Sigur Rós and accuse you of being nostalgic, that's how life goes.
Art Brut Bang Bang Rock & Roll

how few comments the review of these art brut has received. too bad because the album is nice, certainly it doesn’t deserve more than a 3, but what sets them apart in a better way from bands like maximo park and the rakes is that they are a bunch of fools, they seem to have fun and they make us have fun too. "formed a band, we formed a band, look at us, we formed a band"... in January in Italy, for me, live they’re a blast. cheers...
