I instead agree with holdencaulfield; I think many of you write off Le Vibrazioni without even having listened to the album ;) I've listened to both, and honestly, I feel like saying that they are not the revelation of the Third Millennium or the Area of 2000, but in their own way, they manage to do something good. Oh, I'm not exactly a fan of theirs; in fact, their attitude and behavior kind of get on my nerves, you know? :D

Listened: beautiful, very ambient and relaxing, just as I expected :) However, I also want to hear something more about IDM, I think I will find the previous works as well ;)
Smashing Pumpkins Siamese Dream

Stunning, for me it's the true masterpiece of the Smashing Pumpkins, better than "Mellon Collie...", which I find too sprawling even though it's beautiful. "Mayonnaise" and "Silverfuck" are Oscar-worthy! :D Of course, though, there could have been something more said...

Damn, great heads-up Stefano, I'll check these out! :)
Angelo Badalamenti The Straight Story

Great movie "A True Story". Angelo Badalamenti is a genius, the OST of "Twin Peaks" is amazing ;) At least from what I remember... I'm also a soundtrack enthusiast El Guevo, when I was beatmaking I listened to a ton of soundtracks by Morricone, Piccioni, Bacalov, Umiliani, and then those from the '70s blaxploitation films that are absolutely badass :)) I need to check this one out, but I think I will, great review!

Original use of the voice? Have you ever listened to Demetrio Stratos or John De Leo from Quintorigo? :-O Anyway, I'm going against the tide and saying that Le Vibrazioni, beyond the commerciality and catchiness of their songs, don’t sound bad at all, and with a bit more effort, they could really create great stuff. Sure, there are always the "Sei immensamente Giulia," the ridiculous comparison to Led Zeppelin, but I consider them better than a lot of the crap that's out there ;)

The Amplifier are fucking amazing, one of the best debuts in recent years! I mean, the first two tracks of the album are anthology-worthy, especially "Motorhead" ;)
