Françoise Hardy The Vogue Years

Oh yes, she definitely deserves it. She only released a few albums in the late '60s and early '70s, all of which are very significant. Also quite noteworthy is the compilation "Cuddle Up With Claudine Longet," which features the best of her easy-listening works from the first half of the '70s. Grab them all! :-))

But why should music be considered crap from the start? :-) I don’t know the album and I’m not a huge expert in Psychedelia (I stick to the big names and a few compilations, like Electric Psychedelic Trip and the various volumes of Electric Psychedelic Sitar Headswirlers, which are very interesting), but I don’t mind the review at all. Good! ;-)

Honestly, I don't love contemporary Fusion, which I find too specialized for industry insiders. I prefer the old albums from the '70s by various Billy Cobham, Weather Report, Jaco Pastorius, and anyone else you can think of, which are more "open" and atmospheric. In any case, great review symbad :-)

morningstar, congratulations once again on your choice. I only have one album by Francois Hardy, "La Question" from 1971, which I highly recommend if you don't already own it. Do you also know Claudine Longet? Hi :-)

Because now what is it? She's 19 years old and has a mindset filled with worn-out clichés; it doesn’t seem to me that she creates mature music for a wide audience.
Van Halen Van Halen II

Ah, the Van Halen! What a nightmare! :-))

If they got scared... Well, I really can't get into the psychology of the aforementioned "monsters" and their fans :-)

Wow, it seems that my post has caused quite a stir! Yes, in fact, I don't have a great love for egocentric guitarists and solo wizards (I lean more towards the Jazz-Funk of a George Benson or the New Wave riffs of Johnny Marr or The Edge). Perhaps I don't have the technical knowledge to allow myself to judge them. In fact, I didn't do that; I simply expressed a purely personal opinion, without offending or accusing anyone. That's all :-)

Is it possible that these so-called "guitar heroes" have no effect on me? Every day, I see the likes of Satriani, Vai, and Malmsteen being exalted to the level of deities or aliens, and every time I try to listen to them, I can't explain why. Making music is, in my opinion, a way to communicate a message to listeners and enthusiasts that one should embody: music for others, then, and not pointless self-celebration or exaltation of one's technical abilities. This, I believe, is the fundamental difference between a true musician and the aforementioned characters: to communicate something to others, something concrete that surpasses one's boundless ego. I'm done.
