@Surferkangaroo: usually, the clothes don't make the monk, and by going beyond the heavily abused ghetto aesthetic of "cocky rappers," you can find some excellent music even in productions of this kind.. Take it from someone who isn't a die-hard fan of Gangsta-Rap at all costs.. ;-))

I thank everyone present here.. I believe this is a very enjoyable album, easy to listen to even for ears not necessarily trained for a usual type of sound.. Now, if you are really looking for extreme experimentation, rest assured that you won't find even a shadow of it here :-)

A good debut from a band that isn’t extraordinary, but with a fantastic producer on board.. For the record, Butch Vig, before the debut of Garbage, had produced, in addition to "Nevermind", also "Dirty" by Sonic Youth and "Siamese Dream" by the Smashing Pumpkins..

Not a great album, just like the previous one "Big Willie Style." The real Fresh Prince is the one from "He's The DJ, I'm The Rapper," in partnership with Jazzy Jeff; after that, it’s complete emptiness. The review is well written, but I don’t agree with some of the underlying lines: for me, Rap does not have to be synonymous with anger and calls for "black power"; it could have been in the '80s, but not after more than a quarter of a century of evolution.
