Years ago, I saw "Le voci di dentro" at the Teatro San Ferdinando in Naples, featuring Toni and Peppe Servillo. Although I consider both of them very talented, I found the staging terrible and Toni Servillo's acting almost parodic, certainly inadequate for De Filippo's text. Just my impressions. I haven't seen the film; I really liked "Il giovane favoloso." Maybe I'll catch up on it.
