THE REVIEW

Life is made up of falls and rebirths, as we know.

Then it's up to each person to know how to renew themselves and sometimes reinvent themselves. In work as in life.

Michele Bravi is a young man from Città di Castello who, in 2013, enters the cast of X-Factor and is noticed by Tiziano Ferro (who was already a hitmaker for Giusy Ferreri...) who will write for him together with Zibba "La vita e la felicità".

Michele will win that edition of the talent show and the song will achieve significant commercial success (gold record).

Then, as the story goes, the problems begin. "You're finished," they will tell him. A phrase like that from your record company can really make a kid who has tasted fame want to change dimensions.

Instead, Michele starts telling his story on YouTube. He becomes very popular and releases an English album of good quality but clearly somewhat ignored by most.

Then something stirs.

In 2017, the Sanremo Festival arrives. The song he presents is "Il diario degli errori" written by Abbate, Cheope, and Giuseppe Anastasi. He will finish fourth in the ranking, but his career will take a decisive turn.

Michele is capable, he has a very recognizable voice and the image of the boy next door. This mix leads him to renewed visibility and immense popularity. Success once again.

The album "Anime di carta," which contains the Sanremo song, is an excellent product. Everything goes as it should.

Immediately after, a hit single with millions of streams with Elodie and Marracash "Tequila e guaranà" consecrates him.

Then a car accident involves him. A reckless maneuver of his causes the death of a woman.

Darkness again. Absence from the scene. Depression.

Michele returns different. More "dark," distant. He will talk about the psychological difficulties he faced and also about his fluidity in sexual orientation on more than one occasion.

He is no longer the boy next door. He barely smiles. He is different.

And very different is also his latest album from which this third single "Falene" is taken. "La geografia del buio".

Everything is extremely "dark." Whispered, suspended. «The Moths, mysterious nocturnal animals that coexist with darkness. Their fatal attraction to the light mirrors human behavior. The song is the rhythmic story of a buzzing around a light bulb between shadow and illuminated corners.» This is the description he will give of the song in which the English group Sophie and the Giants participate, although they do not add much to the already valid production.

Falene has rhythm. It is launched as a summer single even though it is neither light nor carefree. Michele skillfully navigates the verses and seems to tell once again of his restlessness, anxiety, and fears.

The deliberate ambiguity of the video's images greatly contributes to strengthening this picture where Michele is an androgynous character with a blank, absent look.

And within his "Universe."

Summary by Bot

This review chronicles Michele Bravi’s troubled yet resilient career, highlighting his transformation after personal tragedy. His single 'Falene' featuring Sophie and the Giants reflects a darker, introspective sound departing from his previous style. The song explores themes of restlessness and human contradictions through both lyrics and visuals. While Sophie and the Giants add little to the production, Michele’s distinct voice remains compelling. Overall, 'Falene' marks a nuanced, mature phase in Bravi’s artistic evolution.
