A masterpiece by Madonna and one of the most beautiful albums of the 2000s. More than "dance pop," it speaks of an electro-house that revitalizes Moroder's disco music and places it in a futuristic retro context that really gets me excited. The production by Stuart Price is magnificent. Regarding the review, I appreciate the idea, but I'm less fond of the execution. Too long, verbose, and pedantic.

Just mentioning the bands and genres listed by the reviewer, the adjective "futuristic" (in the sense of being anticipatory, prescient) can certainly be applied to the band in question. It's a really cool album.

I am updating my opinion on the album. An excellent, indeed outstanding debut, characterized by the layering of techno rhythms, melodies, and ambient textures. A first example of that IDM which would enchant in "Tri Repetae." Wonderful "Basscadet" and "Doctrine," the disorienting and endless "WindWind," the human "Lowride." I would say 4 stars, for me even a 4.5.
