"C.R.E.A.M." is one of my favorite hip-hop tracks.

I respect personal opinions, but to say that someone is talentless and only knows how to turn a couple of knobs when they've released albums like "Discreet Music" or "Music for Airports" seems frankly excessive to me 😃

But the rhythm doesn't seem syncopated to me. Or is it just me not understanding anything.

Never Judge a Book by Its Cover. Apart from one or two tracks, it seemed to me to be an excellent album, but the peak of their electronic turn will be the next one, "Stard'Üst" (my opinion, of course).

So my dear, it seems we need to clarify a few things here. I absolutely don’t want to come off as a know-it-all, I just feel that some concepts you've expressed in your review seem a bit confused. Let’s start with the year: 1984. Yes, Run D.M.C. anticipated some “practices” that would spread widely (the crossover between rock and hip-hop, sampling, etc.), but when they debuted (1984), we are still fully in the Old School era. The artists you mention in the review are later and belong to the so-called Golden Age of Rap: the one you call New School, which began around 1987-’88 (more or less), when albums like "Paid in Full" or "Unfinished Business" were released. All of this may seem schematic, but it helps to better orient oneself. The moral of the story: Run D.M.C. can be placed in a transitional period, but we are not yet in the New School. "Proto-gangsta" sounds a bit harsh (in what sense would they be?), and perhaps you could have talked more about the album. Anyway, welcome 😃

I should delve into them; I think I’ll start with the works you mention in the review. One piece of advice: write more often.

"The words" seems to be "le parole" in French. See, you really know how to use them well. Well done.

Did they succeed as well? Nice tip!

"I would have liked to hear a less whiny and introspective Yorke."
I think it’s one of the reasons why I don’t love Radiohead’s later work. Generally, they don’t excite me; I prefer Thom's solo career, including the soundtrack of "Suspiria." Maybe I'll try to listen to it. You’re great as usual.

Bizarre writing, but all in all interesting.
