Their best album, you can feel the influence of Steve Mackey from Pulp in the production, and the magical touch of Daniel Lanois' pedal steel in the last tracks is the icing on the cake.

for me it is his masterpiece, a beautiful album that I prefer to All Things Must Pass also because this one has a better sound for me, the other is too influenced by Spector's production which makes it a bit dated nowadays.

For me, this is a great soul/rock album, the best of the year alongside Bowie’s Young Americans. I listened to it recently and I have to say that all the tracks work wonderfully; it just needs a bit of polishing in the sound, and everyone will notice the value of the work.
