Nice page, Rowland, and a well-deserved mention for the de-databese. I really like the initial historical-biographical reference. I've been through it too! Not just MTV, I'm willing to bet you also had to endure DJ Television on Italia 1...

Beautiful, Conteverde! Twisted and shiny at the same time, in the full spirit of the more intelligent/clever brother yet dionysiac.

And the emotional "upheavals" are many, but we can toughen up to the conflicts and manage all our strong emotions in relational tensions. Control them, damn it. Without letting others screw us over, nor doing it to them for free. I’m glad you’ve started writing again, and hell yeah!!! Go DeMa, keep on this path. It’s yours! It’s a path full of challenges, but who better than you could steal the spotlight from fate?

This morning, I ran for two hours in the hills, I greeted almost everyone I met (cyclists, runners, dog walkers, nordic walkers), which didn’t annoy me today (as it usually does), and in my headphones, I had a compilation with Cure, S. Vega, YLT, S. Pumpkins, Stereolab, New Order, R. Orbison, The The, Talk Talk, Propaganda, Pixies, S. Forbert, Melody's Echo Chamber, Soul II Soul, Style Council, etc.; but the first song, the opener of the playlist, was this one below, and I dedicate it to you.

Always at the top on the keyboard!
"The Steppes, fantastic sellers of dreams, are right there, in that limbo halfway between heaven and earth,
with their psychedelic uniforms in 'diamond-studded sky blue' and guitars soaked in the smell
of kerosene and worn-out tires." Has it been said already?

Always good and analytical, With!

The man bowed over his guitar
On the green day. Perhaps a tailor.

They said to him: “On the blue guitar
You do not play things as they are.”

He answered: “Things as they are
Are changed on the blue guitar.”

They replied: “But you must play
A melody that is us and transcends us,

A melody above the blue guitar
Of things as they are.

A beautiful and intriguing review that reminds me of Wallace Stevens (who was inspired by Picasso's painting)!
