I'm glad to hear that you approve of the parts quoted from the songs I've chosen, and I assure you that I feel that same tangle of emotions, and the ending with Kentucky—first a lyric and then a breathtaking song—is a sought-after effect. Regarding the news about the first couple writing, I was uncertain, as with the last residence. But the desire to release the piece, to see the effect it would have, was too great (for now, apart from the 3 of Heartshapedbox, it's going well).
