Five stars to you and five to the work, even though I won't vote for the work, because just the thought of voting for it makes me laugh. The Stranger and The Fall have always been books of my heart. Caligula is one of the very few theatrical performances I have seen. I would like to say something more, but nothing comes to mind except that The Stranger gives me an almost physical sensation, as if it were the body or, if not the body, the only part of us capable of truly understanding something.

Let's say there's the usual snootiness towards the mainstream. She's one of those artists whose songs, when they come on, you can't help but enjoy.

As for being well-off, let's not even go there; Nick Drake was just as privileged as she is, just to make a point.

And some of those rants about bourgeois art didn't exactly miss a certain De Gregori, who is the best Italian singer-songwriter along with De Andrè.

She started with rock, then became pop, churned out some really lovely songs sometimes.

"Io," I really remember fondly; my great love used to listen to it all the time, and I listened with her.

Can everyone be a little lighter, at least once in a while...

Then, of course, my tastes lean in a different direction, but always badmouthing it, like it's the norm here, seems unfair to me.
