I own the vinyl, and it's only been played halfway... however, I appreciate... the avant-garde doesn't require listening... I prefer the joyful madness of the avant-garde... but the avant-garde is always better than nothing...

I remember using some sequences from the film for a theater performance... on stage, only the frantic images were visible and in the dark, the actors entered... however, there was no Glass music... but an instrumental by Paolo Conte (taken from razzmataz)... it was like a passage to move beyond the horror (the images) and enter an evocative and magical space (Conte's music and the stage)... once the music and images were over, the actors found themselves in full light... so I'm obviously very attached to the film... I also really like Philip Glass, but I prefer other works... beautiful review.

a disc with striking peaks (the ones mentioned by almost everyone) and rather mediocre songs... but those peaks are more than enough...

we are barrettists, barrettians, barrettologists, barrettones, barrettissimo... and incredibly, shockingly, unabashedly cool...
