I believe that to tackle the ridiculous nonsense of the "return to fascism" that the media pump on every channel, it is truly necessary to open a broad discussion table where people can sit down without prejudice.

I would start with this initial analysis: who is calling someone else a fascist? A recent example: "the book fair." They kicked out a fascist publisher. (Well, let’s just say...).
Then Erri De Luca comes along to question universal suffrage (I'll post the first link I find):
Erri De Luca choc: "Togliere voto agli anziani" • Oltre la Linea

Who today is for +Europa and decries "nationalism" while implementing fascist economic policies (balance budget, strong currency, external constraints)? With the aggravating factor (for me) of surrendering national sovereignty in favor of foreign capital (what do you say, well, it’s the same if they did it for Italian capital...for many reasons I think no).

The condemnation of nationalism in general hides the desire to eliminate the concept of the state as a social pact...and the policies of recent years imposed by austerity are proof of this.

So, I wonder: who are the real fascists today? As Carlos mentioned earlier, the fascists are "the guard dogs of capital" (and the rise of fascism in Italy was mainly possible because "the uncle capital" was afraid of a true socialist revolution).

Then there are the four idiots with the banner and morons who go to Predappio every year. But they have always been there.

I believe, my personal opinion, that this exaggerated focus on the theme of the "return to fascism" serves to suppress these new "populist" movements (which are certainly not the solution, but if they help to put everything back into question, so be it) and the protests they are carrying out.

I didn't understand the association. Did Thundercat play on TV?
You're right, that scene hasn't stood the test of time, but, for example, I remember dear science as an amazing album.
I don't know, this little thing inspired me, but I never delved into it. Is it really that bad? I remember one of his videos with him dressed as a Japanese samurai, and I thought it was cool.

Sooner or later I'll read all of yours.
And I'll try to catch up on some of your recommendations.

I like genre reviewers.

Anyway, this review has been a shocking blow to the reviewer it seems (I see he’s earned the nickname Siberia :D)

There’s still life on Deb!!! :D

Oh my Gooooood.
Look, the fascistometer is one of the most fascist things I've seen in recent years.
The war on fake news (see G. Riotta) and the accompanying censorship is one of the most fascist things seen in recent years.
The idea that "people should take a test before they vote" is one of the most fascist things I've ever seen in the past few years.
The balanced budget in the constitution is a fascist thing, period.

And these are the champions of today's social democracies.

By the way, the lady in question went on TV to say that, unlike Germany, Italy has never come to terms with its fascist past. REALLY?
Like everyone from ANPI must be turning in their graves. Like getting rid of a king and rewriting a constitution anew isn’t dealing with the past. Like hanging il Duce upside down doesn’t count as dealing with the past (even if done in the wrong way).
Like the Nuremberg trials were something the Germans just did on their own.

Look: as I see it, I’m much more afraid of these """social democrats""" than I am of the populists. Far more.

Well, what can I say. After 11 years, it’s time to take stock. I liked this operation; it managed to recreate the mythological grandeur of the Marvel universe (but Stan Lee came up with the superheroes with super problems alongside the Fantastic Four, not with Spidey). Just like in the comics, there have been many ups and downs, but you end up getting attached. My favorites: Iron Man 1 and 3, Winter Soldier, Guardians of the Galaxy, and Infinity War – the first one.

For me, it was a respectable operation (considering what was proposed) and not offensive… unlike the DC universe, which I’ve seen two films from, and I felt embarrassed. The last films (including Captain Marvel) haven’t been exciting, and after this blow of Endgame, I don’t know if I’ll continue to follow the cinematic universe, but hey.

I saw them in Bologna on their second to last tour. It was really fun and exciting. How could you not truly love them?

God...in the first (the fourth) they destroy Leila's home planet in front of her with all its inhabitants on it and he doesn't bat an eye. And in the next scene, he struts around with Solo.

I would say they have at least been faithful to the origins on this.

I don't know... I've tried and I keep trying to shake off a strong ideological and moral aversion to these Italian indie bands :P I had listened to some of their stuff, and it wasn't actually that bad... but they irritate me right from their name.

I realize that 2009 was TEN YEARS AGO!!!! Damn, guys...
I can't stand Fazio, but hats off to Saviano for what he's written about the mafia.
Beyond the social denunciation, he managed to convey a certain epic quality of the territory and the phenomenon: perhaps it wasn’t his intention, but if in Gomorra (both the book and the film) you finished reading feeling disgustingly horrified ("and you wanted to kill all those fucking mafiosos," quote), with the series you somehow start to "get attached" to the characters and understand them on a human level (and I don't know how "socially useful" this is, but for sure the human dimension is shaped by the environment you are born into).

On many of his other campaigns, however, I don't agree, but that's that.
