Good review, although for me this album can be defined as "transitional": “never redundant or diffuse”? Instead, I believe these two adjectives describe it perfectly... de gustibus.

Dear, you are a guarantee. The report and writing are excellent as usual. However... this album disappointed me a bit. I expected more from the authors of the masterpiece "Ladies...". I don't feel like giving it 4 stars.

I don't know them, but I highly recommend the solo project of Dallas Green, "City and Colour." Nothing to do with these sounds, much more oriented towards folk, but with a distinct "emo" connotation (the good kind, not the plasticky one). Give it a listen; it’s really worth it.

You're a bastard :) While putting together the end-of-year playlist, I remembered that I wanted to review this album, which I think is one of the top 5 albums of the year. A garage bomb that seeps into your brain through your earbuds listen after listen. So what can I say, I completely agree with you, I couldn’t have written it better myself. I also agree about the Vivian-fuffa. Just neither fish nor flesh, you know. Still great work. Ah, I also share the feeling of no longer being able to tear my hair out over new music releases :(
