I liked this one a little less London, although your historical digressions are always enjoyable =)
Electric Light Orchestra A New World Record

Well, if it’s such a mediocre album, it’s clear that this shangri-la is truly a masterpiece if it alone brings the album to 4 points! I’ve heard of these elo, I’ll look into them sooner or later, even though recently rock hasn’t been my main musical interest.
Don Henley Building The Perfect Beast
Voto:
What can I say, I'm from the side that really doesn't like Don Henley. Besides, I'm not (really) a big fan of the Eagles anymore, and as a solo artist, I haven't listened to much, so I won't judge. It's more of a gut dislike, directed towards the person rather than anything else. What can you do, no one is perfect.

@stefano90 what makes you think that the part of philosophy I find heavy is that of Hegel and Kant? I didn't write that... I'll tell you more, in my academic journey I haven't come across Hegel and Kant yet, so there was no specific reference to them. There was no specific reference; it was a general statement since I believe that some authors are heavy and almost useless. I emphasize the "almost" (to avoid further misunderstandings) because I realize that every philosopher contributes a step forward, though sometimes (sometimes!) it might be small, to the discipline. I'm sorry that you took it so personally; it's obvious that the book isn't a philosophical essay, so it’s inevitably lighter. I certainly didn’t mean to focus attention on the heaviness of philosophy, but on the history and reflections of Kundera’s book =). Anyway, to prove my love for philosophy (which, I admit, is declining over time), I can quote a review I wrote ages ago on a book by Thomas Nagel Una Brevissima Introduzione Alla Filosofia - Thomas Nagel - Recensione di ligdjs you may not agree with it, I don't know, but it’s to show you that I don't hate philosophy outright; in fact, I consider it fundamental to understand how we've arrived at certain theoretical and practical outcomes.

I wrote that heaviness is part of a philosophy, not all of it. As with everything, there are those who have done it/are doing it fantastically, and those who have not.

Paul McCartney Another Day
Voto:
Agreeing with Aries, during that time George was on top (I mean, all the things must pass...) but he was stupid from a commercial standpoint, in the sense that he burned all his best songs on the first album and the others then suffered as a result... McCartney, on the other hand, was able to continue writing gems up till today and let's hope he keeps going! And the beloved, idolized Lennon? What did Lennon do? The first album (which is indeed worth it), "Imagine" (the song) and not much else.
And I take a moment to defend Ringo, because he was EXTREMELY smart; he never even tried for a second to be a "serious" singer-songwriter, he always produced fun work because he knew he would have looked bad otherwise... this is intelligence!
