It seems to me that the ghost of the giants of early singer-songwriters still hovers over the singer-songwriters of the '90s (Bersani, Silvestri, Fabi, Capossela...). I think that the ghost is not present around today's singer-songwriters. Then there are those who are universally awful (Vasco Brondi) and those who actually have a lot to say (Brunori Sas and especially Dente). The influences of the greats from the past are there and are unmistakable, but I don't see them crushed by that legacy...
