LA RECENSIONE

Will I be able to describe Hermanos? I wonder because it's one of the most beautiful albums I have ever listened to. 

The MAT - Francesco Diodati on guitar and loops, Ermanno Baron on drums, M. Allulli on tenor sax - travels effortlessly between the mystery of a never-so-sensual "Madrid", the groove and melodic cells of "E.E.", the powerful emotion of "7 Agosto" and "Hermanos", where a non-professional choir created for the occasion sings melodies that we all have in our subconscious, and fortunately someone has brought them out.

"Inno", a very sweet Irish folk ballad narrated by the sax and piano (Glauco Venier), and then "L'Ultimo Sogno" and "Ant" where the guitar is a hypnosis for the disorienting frenzy of the drums, trumpet, and sax, before everything falls back into the abstract. This is music that represents the world today, it is not locked in an ivory tower, there are no anachronisms, only influences that the group manages to channel into truly their own music.

That there is also the participation of Fabrizio Bosso (often featured in concerts as well) is the cherry on top: this trumpet and sax attack tandem is pure energy, but it's the entire ensemble that impresses; what a music, guys.
