Cesare Cremonini (Cento, December 22, 1550 – Padua, July 19, 1631) was an Italian philosopher and scientist.

The last exponent of Renaissance Aristotelianism in Italy, and a professor of natural philosophy since 1573, he taught for several years in Ferrara and, in 1590, was called to the University of Padua, where he remained until 1629 and where for several years he also held the chair of medicine. A friend and rival of Galileo Galilei, he was a defender of Averroistic medicine and a proponent of the mortality of the soul, inextricably linked to the human body. Suspected of heresy, in 1598 he was reported to the Inquisition of Padua. A second denunciation was made on April 12, 1604, by his colleague Camillo Belloni.
