The quarterly VIVAVERDI (siae) hinted to me some time ago that Ms. Sugar had set her eyes on this boy. And indeed, in front of the desert of new proposals this year, he stood out, and rightfully so. This is also thanks to the great "preparation" work done by Caterina Caselli, who knows her stuff. It's a shame that, in my opinion, the scouting of the former golden boy has always brought to light talents that are capable yet "sterile" (see an Elisa who, as soon as she tried to go her own way with the experimental Asile's World, was soundly reprimanded and forced to return to more palatable paths). In other words, we are not faced with a Virlinzi (r.i.p) who introduces a Moltheni or a Consoli at Sanremo. I hope for Gualazzi that there is indeed a burning artistic fire that doesn't lend itself to wearing the mask of the new Capossela or the new Conte.

I understood why this record is being sent to me as a gift together with my recent online purchase of Funkadelic+Black merda. Let's say, dear Cornelio, that I loved CIRCUS from '95 a lot and I believe this one will be pretty good too. However, to be honest, I'm not that drawn to Kravitz. Kisses

Punisher, go f*** yourself! You write a review this well. Well done, panapp. They are not to my liking, but you write with skill.

Yes, Fiquata, I owe you and your review on the peel sessions the discovery of the GO4! I'm arriving late... fifteen years of MInghi and Mietta have done serious damage, I'm trying to catch up :-) @:IMASOULMAN: I'm not necessarily defending this album (just as I won't defend HArd), but it must be said that these albums (the 3rd and 4th by Go4), despite their decay, have a strong personality. They have character. Something that is lacking in most current albums (whether they are good or bad).

@PRETAZZO: well, the term new wave is used too vaguely, I admit it. In fact, yes, all four fall into the broad category of new-wave but with specific and decisive distinctions. @DRUNKEN: I'm easy to please, for me it's almost a four just for that "man in uniform" which, taken like that, without considering the band's past, significantly raises the value of this album, especially when compared to today's "club" quality. "HARD" will be a 3 and the current CONTENT will barely reach 2. game over. :-( thanks for stopping by.

Well! Allow me some doubts about the 5 balls. If nothing else, it's because the single with Hadley is chilling.

Great! Who are they?! I will listen and I will seek. It's proof that funk is well established in Emilia, while up north the fog really dampens the attitude of the bands.

I know Elia well, aka Dino Fumaretto, I've seen him often and talked to him on several occasions. Well, for me, he's a giant. He entertains me and he’s not pretentious at all. The Mantuan scene has every reason to shine. Besides him, there will be Vincenzo Fasano. But that's another story. Go Elia! Highly recommended album.

Even though I know almost all of R.E.M.'s discography very well, I think it's enough to own AUTOMATIC to make your stay an undisputed protagonist of the entire 20th century.

@DRUNKEN: "Libertine" has some great tracks... and then there's the b-side collection with the Peel Sessions "to see the light"... Gene broke through in the USA at the time with this excuse of being Morrissey & co. clones, and together with Moz, they even managed to play and get drunk. yes. all very entertaining, really. then they stopped because they realized they couldn't reach higher goals.
