What to say about Meshuggah?
This is what I appreciate the most, as I've already mentioned several times elsewhere: one of the rare bands that knows how to change the game in an EXTREMELY STANDARDIZED world, so closed in on itself like metal & its derivatives.
Comment number 2 by sanjuro says it well; forget Metallica, who keep playing the same song for god knows how many years now. The only thing I don't share about these guys is the usual tired long hair look and the same cliched press photos with their pseudo-angry expressions *, in short, the usual fucking clichés, a story we've already seen, but that definitely takes a back seat if they've proven they can really deliver. Sure, they can get a bit boring and bland over time, but still respect for them!

"But also no, check the latest and read certain ratings." ---> well, it's clear that if you always review Death Magnetic, the 1-1s are going to come in droves. :D

Well, the review, being the first one, is objectively well written, essential, organized, a bit biased, but getting carried away is understandable! If they give you a 1-1, it doesn't mean they didn't like what you wrote, don't worry; often those who give a 1-1 only see the proposal, and if they don't like it, they rate it 1-1, whether it's the album or the reviewer, regardless of whether they read the content. They often do it randomly just to troll, but there aren't many of them anyway; you'll soon learn to identify them and understand how much a 1-1 from a "trotadamare" can count. Are you interested in derango? No, because if you're looking for high scores and pairs of 5, I suggest you write the 130th review on Metallica and Iron Maiden, and people will give you 5. Or, I don't know, anything with historical relevance (like The Beatles, for example), so even people who may not know them well will vote and give 5 because "they've made history"! But if, as I believe, you just want to review stuff that you like, regardless of what third parties think about it, then go ahead! I don't like the stuff you commented on, and many others, as you can see, don't either... but so what? Is Debaser perhaps a forum with a music recommendation section among a small circle of users and friends? Or is it a site that offers anyone the opportunity to write reviews on any genre, which will then end up in the infinite universe of the web, accessible online to anyone interested, thus providing a good service? It doesn't seem to me that there are restrictions on the genres to be reviewed, and there are always plenty of consultations since, as you will have noticed, it’s often at the top of Google! Draw your conclusions; of course, friendships, user preferences, gatherings, etc. can be formed, but there are also those who are here just for the pleasure of writing without paying attention to other functions like gatherings or starting discussions on what’s proposed, so don’t worry too much! As for Alexia, I see no reason to attack her for free; I repeat that I don't listen to the genre, and apart from her famous songs, I haven't really heard much, but among those who do Italian pop (which, as I said, I hate), she's one of the few I would save for her good voice (even if misused, indeed), also quite likeable (honestly, I couldn't bring myself to hate her), a few decent tracks in her career, and she's always varied a lot; the results are what they are: debatable, mediocre, but that in itself is a virtue compared to always playing the same song for 20 years like Vasco Rossi, Laura Pausini, and the like! ;)

Yeah, not that they were anything special before, but now they've gotten even worse. The only decent one was let's talk about etc. Good review.

""""Marco Carta could be a breath of fresh air for Italian music"""" ---> are you serious??!!?? we've had that breath of fresh air for a few years now: UOCHI TOKI, genius made music. way too much for this little country still stuck on the formula of sun heart love Sanremo light music & co.

Hi Romeo, I see you've just signed up and immediately went to comment-praise-hype exclusively Italian pop stuff (Giusy Ferreri, Marco Carta, etc.). Well, to each their own, but you must agree that these aren't exactly the best for a calling card! What else do you like? Anyway, don't let negative comments intimidate you; if you want to review the dreary Italian pop, go ahead (if you like it, who’s stopping you?), but don't waste time on pointless explanations like you're doing, such as "but I, but Marco Carta, but however, but you know," etc. You shouldn’t expect much from the comments, especially if you're trying to defend little artists like Marco Carta, but know that here - for the most part - except for singer-songwriter and indie stuff, Italian music (myself included, as I don't even follow the two genres above) isn't well-liked. What can I say about Alexia? Nice, she's done some good things in the past, you can't say she has a bad voice (in fact, quite the opposite), but she doesn't use it properly. The stuff from 2000 onwards, except for rare cases, is disarmingly banal. The review isn’t bad. Until next time!

Well done, these are the reports that I would love to see more often!! Well, I don’t know them at all, but if just from the name it sounded like the usual recycled kitsch, you can't say the same about the description… if you talk to me about "hard to categorize", all this melting pot, "electronic", "piano mixed with blastbeats", various experiments, etc., could be interesting. I think I’ll give them a listen, I just hope it’s not the usual kitsch, though.
