Here’s the album from the Fifa97 soundtrack (the one with David Ginola on the cover?). The Blur definitely mimics Pavement, but we’re far removed from those peaks, resulting in a fairly decent but ultimately unnecessary little record over the years. The best track is perhaps the one sung - "You're so Great" - by a carefree and always bespectacled Coxon, who also produced a few decent solo efforts. Let’s give it a three. But only because today I feel nice and friendly.

Hitchcock is one of my favorite authors and one of the most underrated of all time. The "most successful son" of Syd Barrett. He certainly gave his best with the Egyptians (more than with the Soft Boys). I might prefer some of his other works (Element of Light, Globe of Frogs above all), but there’s no doubt that I Often is also a five-star album.

Nothing to say about your excellent definition of Gallon Drunk's sound. Perfect. They are drunken fools, at times "ferocious," but by no means ignorant. Personally, I've always preferred them to the Birthday Party (just to avoid sticking to the comparison between the two bands). Do you have an opinion, instead, on their latest album? The one that came out a couple of years ago, that is.

I don't know where you went to drink those other 164 euros in Jarrett's face. But you did well [and I did the same]. I completely agree in considering Lydia Lunch an incredible character, and indeed that concert was really a nice event. Back to the "drunken gallons"... As I mentioned in the previous comment, super, I don't know the album in question, but if I interpreted your review correctly, you believe that Johnston and company have a more direct approach to music compared to the purely excellent Birthday Party. Is that right? In that case, I would say I agree with you. Anyway, these Beasts of Bourbon also seem interesting, which, to be honest, I had never heard of before.
