The holistic vision certainly varies depending on the historical period, but it will always be a part of humanity. If I find a plastic soldier that I played with in my childhood, isn't it the memories and feelings that prevent me from throwing it away and make me feel attached to it? Yet, it’s just a piece of plastic, and there are thousands of similar soldiers out there... That our model of life is that of “supermarket beasts,” as you say, I agree, but by separating the social aspect and analyzing the individual, I believe the holistic vision is still possible.

@SIGNORPROG: In my opinion, it's better to let it go. Someone who believes there’s anything true or talented in certain junk either does it on purpose to see people's reactions or has a musical knowledge that is below zero. I fully agree with your point, and maybe this guy will understand it one day...

I am one of those ignorant people who discovered from your previous post that this person comes from X-Factor. And I, too, listened to the CD. It's grotesquely pathetic. But what leaves me astounded is not so much the banality of the music (let's not even get started on the lyrics, it's better that way...), but the fact that 99% of those who bought this album have been fooled by the advertising of an EMPTY product cleverly packaged to appear full of wonders.
@YOSIF: how I wish I could share your hope... but do you know how many kids think that “music” means “Amici”? Fifteen years ago, music was made in garages, now it’s watched on television; they've screwed over the ideas of an entire generation. In your opinion, out of 100 people who listen to Ferreri, how many of them have even heard of (not listened to, just heard of) Janis Joplin or Billie Holiday?
