Erik Gandini Videocracy

Just finished watching. A 5 to Gandini for the topics he managed to analyze in 1 hour and 20 minutes, and also for the originality of the documentary, which is not saturated with data and statistics. However, from my point of view, a more in-depth analysis of the roots of the problem of "appearing" in our "videocracy" would have been appropriate. Let me explain: in my opinion, nowadays the problem isn’t the troiette at Villa Certosa or Fabrizio Corona, and if we really think about it, Berlusconi isn’t even the biggest issue; the fact is they have mentally drained us as a people. Since the 1980s, it has been a social drip that has brought us to today's levels. Italy is now seen as a joke country by the major European nations; we have devastated the healthcare system over the past 30 years, our schools have nothing educational left, environmentally the situation has surpassed human decency, and economically and in terms of jobs we are living through a terrifying phase. And then we turn on the TV and see that the girls are all stunning, family men are always present, children are lively yet intelligent, and politicians do good for the people. In other words, what we would like to see in life but which isn’t the case at all. In dramas, the mafiosi are ugly thugs recognizable at first glance, the cops fight for the truth, gay people are respected, immigrants are fully integrated, everything works, parks are clean, and shop assistants are kind. Television has created a virtual reality where those who control it can showcase the "reality-life" they want, but all of this started well before 2000. And honestly, I don’t see any big solutions for the future.

Honestly, I don't remember where I found it, also because there are really a disaster of websites with good stuff.

What a pleasure! Very enjoyable, my wife especially liked it. There are a couple of tracks that are really r'n'r! I'm not convinced when they lean towards the more "modern" pop (like "J'm Gonna Dry my Eyes"). Chao!

In fact, you are not talking; you are accusing and offending from the very first comments. Starting from the assumption that I "copied" one of your reviews. Which is absolutely not true. But at this point, I don't even think you believe it yourself. I have not attacked you because I believe your misunderstanding is quite evident; if you want to continue, go ahead.

Alright, I’m not really drawn to these pseudo-adolescent outbursts anymore; if you want to continue with the insults starting from your made-up premise of "plagiarism" and keep shouting to mask the absence of arguments, go ahead, but you’re just making a fool of yourself and continuing to do so.

Or cheer her up with a long and sweet serenade by suggesting "Collateral Damage" by Brutal Truth.

Bea, you're the best! In my opinion, this is the best of Therion, perhaps because it's the one I've listened to the most.

@BARTLE: I suggest as a true testament of love and listening the "out of tune" bagpipes played by two Celtic hooligans outside a pub after 10-11 pints.
