@FRANKIE: can you imagine that in the review I had to write this damn name more than once, each time counting the 43 characters to make sure I didn't forget any along the way... --- @NES: no, in fact this stuff isn't found on stonerobixxx... --- @APPESTATO MANTRICO: I had sent the cover but the editors blurred it OUT AND THEY DID WELL! Anyone can go see it, but as I wrote in the review, it’s total crap. --- @ISIDE: mi la lengua l'ho ancora ingropada --- @MOPAGA: I would say definitely not, but it’s not really my genre. I listen to some grind but these guys seem more like grind-clown than grind-gore to me. @GEENOO: or a mexicano?

@MATACà. trad: it’s good for a couple of laughs… every now and then I slip in a few words in dialect...

Thanks, Matacà! I'm glad I recommended you a pretty good album! Anyway, I sent another review of a completely different kind... just to make you laugh a little...

The Clash Sandinista!

@SUPERSOUL: you're right, I mixed up the Mickeys. Gallagher is the keyboardist, and Dread is the one who collaborated on "Bankrobber" and "One More Time." As for "Junco Partner," I honestly don't know where the song originated, but it's definitely a track that the 101ers, Strummer's band before the Clash, used to play.

@GNANGERA: I agree with you, even though the first Clash album is simple, I wouldn't call it trivial, especially considering the period it was released in; they already had something (much) more than many bands from the late '70s. "Cut The Crap" is a different story for me; it’s an album that only shares the name with Clash, but if there’s anything good ("This Is England", "Do It Now"), it's overshadowed by the poor production quality, the time it was released, the electronic drums, and Nick Sheppard and Vince White who together don't amount to half a Mick Jones. Still talking about "Sandinista!", I forgot to mention the amazing "Ivan Meetes G.I. Joe" sung by Headon and the beautiful "Charlie Don't Surf".

Thanks everyone! @NES: you caught me...even though I found this on some other weird blog that I can’t even remember. @MICHOOS and MATACà: I'm also eagerly awaiting the new Fu Manchu, it seems it comes out after mid-October, just to be safe I’m going with November because I’m not a big fan of listening to promo-not official-almost complete-missing one track-one is longer-the cover changes, etc.

Bea recenZion! I admit I'm a bit peremptory, but for The Clash, it’s always a 5. This is truly an album that covers a wide variety of musical genres, ranging from the masterpiece of a song to the almost pointless filler ("Silicone On Sapphire," "Career Opportunities" sung by the two sons of keyboardist Mickey Dread). It's an album to explore track by track, featuring the 'mmericana cover ("Police On My Back" by Eddy Grant), the resurrection of a track by the 101ers ("Junco Partner," recorded in Jamaica), and the ongoing collaboration with Mickey Dread (who also writes "One More Time" after having contributed to the creation of that masterpiece "Bankrobber"). You could mention that The Clash released a triple album thinking they could finally shake off their hated contract with CBS, not realizing that a double or a triple always counts as 1 release for record labels... Unfortunately, "Sandinista!" will mark the beginning of the end for The Clash (although "Combat Rock" is a good album with other gems), Mick's obsession with precision will drive him further away from Joe and Paul, while Topper reached levels of addiction that sometimes prevent him from playing. My favorites from "Sandinista!" are the original "The Magnificent Seven" and the haunting "Somebody Got Murdered."

Bea recenZion, I don't have the album. I like "CO2" by Colour Haze, but I've never listened to them that much.
