I like this cover, you know... tell me one thing: is it all instrumental?

I only know Baez's discography sporadically, but I really like some pieces.

This is definitely the most fitting start for a recenZione of Verdena now in Italy. But the beauty is that this is not what one would exclaim at the end of reading the recenZione.

Everything is quite true in a recenzionistic way. However, this album, you listen to it and in the end... yeah, okay... it's not terrible... but... I don’t know, about 95% is empty emptiness.

And prompted by the good Cornell, I tell you that in these last 2 weeks, in addition to the Primus and these 4BigFour, I actually caught PINO in the splendid setting of the Beer Festival in Fontigo di Sernaglia della Battaglia. And during the concert I thought: how much the hell must these 3 (great) musicians charge to play behind someone like that???

ALEXANDER SEVENTYSEVEN: Anthrax made their best albums with Belladonna, there's not much to say, after '90 there’s very little that excites, but if you’ve seen both live and Bush has a voice that comes across better, nothing more to add, Belladonna put on great concerts the times I saw him. And once he even offered me one of his beers from the tour bus, which I declined: it was a Tourtel.
Hetfield is probably good rhythmically too, but live he has to play the Bono Vox of the situation, the screams, the antics, and only then does the playing come in; after all, Metallica definitely don’t “do what they want in the face of their fans,” they do what the average fan (nowadays an 18-year-old kid) asks for: a rock star show in which alongside the fireworks and rockstar attitudes there’s ALSO the music.

@GNAGNERA: that one, where was Como, Monza, Galatone, I don't remember… anyway, I was alone the day of the Carcass. @NES: and I saw Carcass TWICE… definitely one of the best bands for me ever.

@NES: but do you know who I once had to endure live just to see the legendary Carcass? Drim Fiatar! No come on guys, please don’t un-love me now, I swear I tried to stay behind the bar’s tarps as much as possible... and the wind was blowing my hair into my ears... I swear...

In the end, whether it's Thrash or not-Thrash, medal or meRdal, everyone throws around the topics of evolution-mainstream-loyalty-techni que-enology-money-fans, etc., to justify what they like. I've said my piece: tomorrow I would gladly go see Motörhead, Slayer, Carcass, while I would never set off to see Iron Maiden, Metallica, Springsteen, U2. And everyone is just waiting for the most convenient retirement window. But if they put together a "Gods Of Four" and call me Carcass, U2, Motörhead, and Iron Maiden... I don't know. Maybe I'd go. And I'd write a recenZione.
