The underlying mistake that I often see repeated here is judging an ideology (or a philosophy) based on the application it has had... and it seems to me that this is a very serious error of perspective... a bit like judging a religion based on the clergy that administers its worship...

Here, Carlo, the support of the ruling class is also a good argument that explains the rise of totalitarian regimes in Italy and especially in Germany. At least, I believe it to be so... I don’t understand which book you are referring to when you talk about a publication that is not worth a roll of dirty toilet paper... I hope it’s not the one I mentioned. If it is, please explain to me why.

Well, I mean, I don't know... personally, I believe that the rise of Nazism was more linked to the mistakes made by the Allies towards Germany (or Prussia? what was it called back then?) at the end of World War I than to the aforementioned philosophical doctrines. Because the overwhelming majority of votes that allowed Hitler's party to win the elections was, I think, more the result of the poverty and hardship the people were experiencing than the result of any ideological indoctrination. And I wouldn't even emphasize the "monstrosity" of the Nazi hierarchy; I stopped doing that ever since I read "The Banality of Evil" by the rightly referenced Arendt. They weren't demons, nor were they monsters; they were people like us: that should really make us reflect!!!

But the earthquake is still good, everything (or almost): we may not be at the levels of 12 kings, but, you know, given the turn that events have taken, the earthquake is still rock-solid!!!

Ah, so the solo by May is actually in Catcher in the Rye!?!? It seemed like in the final version it had been removed, to the point that the curly-haired guy had a bit of a fit on his soapbox... instead, the roar of the red special is there!?!?
