Woody Allen Midnight In Paris
Voto:
This is what I actually wanted to see in these days... Then if I go to the cinema nearby, I believe there would be at most 10 spectators in the hall. That (mini) multiplex between films for teenage girls with hormonal imbalances (Breaking Dawn) and films for boys with testosterone levels through the roof (Real Steel or whatever it's called), I don't think it would attract many people to see this Midnight In Paris. Well, it's probably better this way in the end; I appreciate films in cinemas with a few spectators even more.
Korn The Path Of Totality
Voto:
Korn were born with the first and died with the second, the third served as a testament. That doesn’t change the fact that the first is a show and one of the best albums of the '90s, a band that practically grafted funky rhythms onto Godflesh-like sounds deserves to be appreciated beforehand. Then, no bullshit, that album is still relevant. Blind is 17 years old and doesn’t look a day over.

Oh still, between Pearl Jam and Nirvana, I choose Alice In Chains.

I can't understand how one can find meaning in something that has none... It reminds me of Vasco Rossi. Wasn't it him? The one who said "voglio trovare un senso a questa eccetera"? Seriously, more than just simple cryptic phrases, they seem to me like streams of consciousness without meaning; I have nothing against them, but they certainly cannot be labeled as "profound." Also, I don't dislike him or hate him (rather, it's the fans; those I truly can't stand - I'm generalizing on purpose to avoid going into details), I listened to this album once and I didn't find anything that made me want to do it a second time.
Balance And Composure Separation
Voto:
I've actually only heard one song; in terms of actual college rock, I haven't heard much (by that genre, I mean stuff like the Replacements and Descendents, maybe I'm off track and that's why I'm mistaken), it struck me but didn't sink in. I'll listen to the whole thing.
Opeth Live @ Alcatraz, Milano 24.11.11
Voto:
Seen in 2008, an impeccable concert from a technical standpoint, but the setlist was a bit lacking. Even back then, Akerfeldt had truly terrible humor... And then they talk about the English.

But at least create some that are less boring and overused, if you really want to do fake... I'm starting to shed a little tear.

If all goes well, the day after tomorrow I’ll catch them with the Raein (after already seeing them at the AntiMtvDay). Great mention, if they have it on Thursday and it's live, they’ll convince me again and I’ll buy it without a second thought.
