THE REVIEW

I am shocked that a group like this is not recognized by anyone. Completely unknown. I also know very little about them; I believe they formed no more than 3-4 years ago. They released a split with Tigers Jaws (whom I don't know, but I will give them a listen), two EPs (I Just Want To Be Pure and Only Boundaries, the latter from 2009, the former I don't know), and a "Separation" in 2011.

One of the best albums of this year. And it comes from five hugely underrated guys who love to mix in an almost perfect way the most diverse genres. Yes, because the underlying genre... is there an underlying genre? No. So the genre? Well, Experimental Rock?

For the characteristics of experimentation and blending of genres, one might think of La Dispute. Very, very positive. Maybe a bit easier to listen to, but that is not a negative, quite the contrary. In "Separation," some Emo Indie Rock elements from the 90's have been unearthed (High gratitude for this), Post-Hardcore (The serious kind), Alternative Rock, Post Rock, and so on. The production is truly outstanding, no errors can be found in the instrumental parts or in the vocals. Melody of the arpeggios, unstoppable energy in the most lively parts, hypnotic bass lines and simply amazing drum rhythms. Perfect, everything.

Here, it is a must to listen to everything. Stopping at listening to just one track of an album like this should be illegal.
