In the end, I'm a depressive and I bask in their indulgence in depressive atmospheres. This album kind of appealed to me when it first came out, like giving it a 3.5 rating, but now the only thing that remains is an mp3 of Codex on the iPod... last played about 8 months ago.

The problem is not that it is repetitive, in the sense that the songs all follow a certain structural monotony that is definitely intentional. The problem is that they are not able to keep the attention alive even while repeating ad libitum a structure for the entire duration...
