besides being, I would say, compassionate.
Steve Vai Fire Garden

Steve Vai's style can be defined as Ice Guitar, so cold that you can't find any true feeling or creativity, no matter how you turn it around. This guy should only do improvisation shows; that's where he shines.

Alright guys. I'm about to leave a comment that's as unpleasant as it is bulky for the sake of the discussion, if you want to open one. In the meantime, I like the review. Now, since these crossover tracks take a lot of time and endless listens to fully absorb them - think of "disco volante" - I would need, preferably (and kindly) from Mr. puntinicazpuntini, s4doll, cornell, the answer to my question: am I at the level of Mr. Bungle? Can I like them?

maybe you’re dwelling a bit too long on these people. anyway, that nazi rock, as far as I remember when I saw it, seems to be a passive portrayal of those events from a social center/demo without any deep investigation, just to hastily showcase their pathetic psychology. I really liked this sentence: "a separate reality within the landscape of the Italian fascist undergrowth (the organized kind, I mean, and not the intrinsic fascism-provincialism-qualunquismo present in the DNA of the average Italian)."

@cornell. They sell it, huh. This is pop of the worst kind. Rendered sappy—hateful, I would add—by the classical accompaniments that seem to impose on it an aura straddling the poetic and the refined, but in reality only make it more ridiculous. I don’t understand why even the critics fall into this trap, along with so many debaserian pizkelli.

a group with highly questionable potential (and musical repertoire), yet for the time they were a breath of fresh air on the new-alternative stage where the "alternative" (read in Italian) were mostly losers dedicated to nu, in need of cash and business, relying on their pathetic 7-string guitars. Next to this, the early Fifa had truly high-quality soundtracks, alongside them Fatboy Slim, Crystal Method, Chumbawamba, people who knew how to make a difference...

I want to say some bullshit that doesn't matter at all, but 8/10 for me is already 5 stars... you know, without counting decimal fractions... come on, no. I'm wasting time... come on, just give 5 stars to both.

get the idea with the rece.4. The guy needs to be listened to with closed eyes (and ears wide open) for the curious experimental proposal and the use of instruments that are rather underrated elsewhere.
