Oh, I almost forgot, for those who may not know Waits too well: "I didn't marry a man, I married a mule" is not something I made up, but a phrase said by his wife Kathleen Brennan that amused Waits so much he used it for the album title :)

Very good. I have to have it; I've always loved Barrett's solo work, and from how you describe it, I'm almost certain this album will drive me crazy. The title says it all. I don't know why, but Nick Drake comes to mind...

Hey there! Thanks to everyone who stopped by. Just a little clarification: I wrote this review fully aware that it would be the 4th, but I did it because, in my opinion, none of the three already present did justice to the album, or at least to the idea I had of it. Since Waits is essential to me, I tried to share a bit of my take on Mule Variations... whether I succeeded or not, well, that’s purely subjective. See you soon and thanks again!

It always happens this way with the beautiful reviews of not very well-known things... it’s a pity.
