I remember seeing a video of Immigrant Song covered by Nirvana... like at their first concert :D

Is Lady Gaga's version a decent cover? :D

Bartolino and Panicuccio, I hope you don't eat me, but I just don't give a damn about Tool :D

No Nes, you forgot a SOMETIMES! There are covers that are magnificent! Look at Nick Cave with Avalanche, Jeff Buckley with Hallelujah, but thousands of others! Even Led Zeppelin, if you want, have done several "covers" and they are stunning! I also think of Love in Vain by the Rolling Stones, and so on, in secula seculorum.

Bartolino did decently because Jimmy Page was playing! :) (and that was the only good thing he did in the 90s) The rest of the singer gets on my nerves.. and I don’t even remember the drummer that I didn’t like much.. But hey, I admit I’m a bit of a fanatic eh.. still, that album didn’t drive me crazy. Maybe it’s one of the better attempts, that’s true, but for me, nothing transcendental :)

Of these, I only have Undercover and I really struggled to listen to it: it’s embarrassing! A hodgepodge of covers that have absolutely nothing to do with each other, done by dogs (see Kashmir and One Of These Days) with not a hint of creativity. For me, it’s evidence that sometimes covers are completely pointless, if not harmful. Fated for life as: "the ones who covered the unculturable, namely Led Zeppelin." I don’t know if I’ll try to listen to this, but I don’t hear a damn thing from the 35007, a band I adore! :D
