It may not be a masterpiece, but this first album by Yes has a wonderfully refreshing quality: in particular, I love the impressionism of "Beyond and Before" and "Looking Around," as well as the simple sweetness of "Yesterday and Today."

Great album. I too, in the review, feel the lack of more reference to the music.
Kraan Kraan live

Well done! I don't know this live album, but given the tracks it contains (and the band playing them), it must be excellent. Come on, come on, now we need a nice review of "Kraan," "Wintrup," and "Andy Nogger."

I have some memories of this band, but I would need to dig them up. However, I do remember that the next album was more interesting (it had a cover of a very bright galaxy, which gives an idea of the more "cosmic" - a term to be taken with a grain of salt - attitude that the band had adopted).

Just one question. Every now and then on YouTube, you come across old recordings of Le Orme from the 70s. Is there by any chance a DVD that collects them?

@Alessio: now it’s clearer to me. But thinking about it, there are plenty of critics outside of De-Baser who actually encourage such human cases, indeed. You know, I was reading yesterday that Rush was on the list to enter the Rock'n'Roll Hall of Fame, then a couple of critics from Rolling Stone derailed everything, saying the band didn’t leave a tangible mark in the world of rock? Now I say: maybe you hate them, maybe you’re right, but you let Metallica in, who have always expressed a genuine adoration for the Canadian band... it makes you naturally think that some heavy prejudice also lurks among professionals (let alone among us poor simple listeners).

The Manichean view of rock was certainly not introduced by the prog groups of the 70s (Alessio: I don’t quite understand your comment, in short). Le Orme have always been a band capable of looking ahead like few others in Italy, and I don't mind their post-75 period at all (when the other Italian prog bands took refuge in singer-songwriter music or fusion, they had already sensed the new wave; just listen to "Verità Nascoste" and "Storia o Leggenda" to believe).

I don't know them very well, but I would have gladly slammed the little bee girl against a wall.

They too... GREAT! This album is worth gold! The review seems a bit brief, but that's okay: excellent recommendation.
