Nicolas Roeg A Venezia, un dicembre rosso shocking

I had missed it. I couldn't say whether the film is a masterpiece or not, but that “1” seems excessive to me, and I would like to balance it out a bit. And speaking of decadent Venice, I also enjoyed "La Vittima Designata," which I initially sought out mainly for the soundtrack (which is gorgeous).

@CPTGAIO: did you manage to give the album a listen? Anyway, happy holidays to everyone and may 2009 be a bit better!

I disagree with the "masterpiece" label, but the album holds up pretty well. The title track is truly remarkable. I also enjoy the "big ballad in pure Journey style."

Can I be picky? "Arrival" is not a bonus track: it was already included in the vinyl version, placed at the end of the album. Moreover, the song was re-recorded in 1980 by Mike Oldfield, but I still prefer the original.

You talk about an album I really like, and I’ll tell you: I learned to listen to Pooh after I turned 25, especially appreciating their 70s music. Speaking of your nickname, when can we expect a review of "Poohlover"?

I don't fully agree with the comment above. Certainly, ABBA focused most of their efforts on singles, and for certain albums a good 80% of the tracks ended up on 45s (I think of their penultimate LP, "Super Trouper"); it is also true that ABBA rarely made albums with a couple of winning singles and then a lot of fillers: many of their lesser-known songs, in fact, are quite enjoyable. I think of "What about Livingston" and "Suzy Hangaround" from Waterloo, "Bam-A-Boomerang" and "So Long" from Abba, "My Love, My Life," "When I Kissed the Teacher," and "Arrival" from Arrival, or even an album like "The Visitors," which in my opinion makes much more sense when taken as an album rather than as a collection of potential singles. However, I admit I am in the midst of ABBA-mania...

Popol Vuh Aguirre

An accurate review, also in placing the album. An album that has always seemed a bit strange to me in the production of Popol Vuh. Of course, Aguirre I is one of the best things ever produced by a Mellotron!
