I vote based on what I remember (a few passages from "Linea Rock," Radio PeterFlowers... it makes me feel nostalgic). Regarding the low scores, I just ask one thing: do you really think that in Italy those who played heavy in the '80s lived a life of luxury like the Motley Crue or Bon Jovi? Here, it was all about absolute "indie," and the quality thrived because of it.

"Prelude for Time Feelers" reminds me a lot of "Sonata Mediterranea" by Riccardo Zappa, and it always makes me dream.

^ The Foundation Cycle! As a novel, it's very beautiful, but I heard they're making a movie out of it... in my opinion, it will be a flop.

^ Here, in the end, it was necessary to digress: what about the work of the scribes that allowed the transmission of classical texts and their thought? The Cluniacans and the Cistercians who in the Middle Ages created the most technologically advanced agriculture in the Po Valley? The fundamental contribution of the church in reorganizing musical production? The Jesuits and their very important contribution to astronomy? Etc. Etc. Etc.

One of the very rare albums where it truly feels like you're moving and visiting faraway places, only to perhaps relax under the California sun (Bel-Air?).

Reading this page and the attached comments, I was astonished: I wonder what’s wrong with dedicating a few cheerful lines, harmless to everyone (except maybe for Baglioni, but I don’t think that concerns many), filled with personal memories and carefree affection to a group that, nonetheless, was doing its job. It might be trash, it might be cult, but listening to it has its own dignity. Honestly, I don’t think it’s necessary to speak ill of it to express one’s love for more serious music. They are two different universes, and perhaps they even complement each other on their parallel paths...

Made with my heart in hand (the review, that is). In my opinion, giorgiodp clicked on the wrong dot (I’m also referring to the interpretation: interpretations, especially if masterful like this one, cannot be ā€œovercomeā€).

I also missed this one. "Fragile" is enchanting, and I’m very attached to it for personal reasons. Comparisons and rankings (better Anderson or Hammill or Gabriel...) feel a bit hard to digest for me, especially when you realize, maybe while listening to "Roundabout" and its surprising central opening, that Yes understood world music when Gabriel was still dressing up as a fox. I don't doubt that they may have lost their way a bit down the line, or that their innovative drive has diminished, but since when does deterioration retroactively cast a shadow over the works that preceded it?

Beautiful album, great review... and for me "Sailing" is beautiful too!
