I know I'm stating the obvious, but they also remind me of the Moody Blues (there's even a song of theirs that ironically is called "Poor Man's Moody Blues"). The review is the kind I like the most (in the sense that it makes me savor the work being discussed).

But in the end... did the Pink Moon stand so tall?
Howard Phillips Lovecraft Tutti i romanzi e i racconti. Ediz. Integrale.
Voto:
As much as I love him "to madness," I am convinced that Lovecraft is an author to "pick at." The fact that during his lifetime he never had an editor who at least would select from his vast corpus of short stories and novellas certainly hasn't contributed over time to either the author's reputation or his understanding (that is, starting from a rather trivial question: what should be considered a "main work" and what "marginalia" when Lovecraft published everything in the form of pulp fiction during his lifetime?). I don't mind the thematic division by Newton Compton; certainly, perhaps one loses a bit of Lovecraft's stylistic evolution, but it becomes clearer how certain themes evolve, revealing a worldview that is anything but simple, with utopian implications and even more distressing reflections. I like the review, but I'd be cautious about recommending the complete works, perhaps considering the work of the solitary of Providence piece by piece.

Chilling "science fiction" far too real. A plea: do not pluralize foreign words (films...)
Le Orme Verità nascoste
Voto:
Long live enthusiasm! Indeed, Le Orme were ahead, able to anticipate sounds well beyond their time. I learned to appreciate this album over time: at first, I didn't like it much (blame - and this is unfortunately to be said - also on the decidedly poor production: I challenge anyone to equalize the sounds of this album satisfactorily), then I gradually understood the significance of the ideas present in "Verità Nascoste." A brilliant album, unmatched in Italy (although personally I still prefer the subsequent "Storia o Leggenda"). A shout-out to the memory of the excellent Germano Serafin.

Nice comeback. A prog album with some rough hard edges that never hurt. Epic.

I don't know this one, although from the description it seems like a minor work. "License to Kill" was among the soundtracks of my third year of middle school.
William Burroughs Naked Lunch
Voto:
A tour de force designed to confuse us and lead us astray. Perhaps the good Burroughs then overindulged in his own tricks (Western Lands, where among other things he reveals some of his writing techniques), but this remains one of my favorites from that generation of Americans.
