Baffo Banfi Galaxy My Dear

What a beautiful rediscovery! Well done (even though I'm not very fond of the Biglietto). My favorite, from the trio of albums you mentioned, is Ma Dolce Vita.

It seems that "Shoot High Aim Low" was recorded at the Castello di Carimate.
Popol Vuh Affenstunde

I've always found it to be their coolest album, but Fricke's music rarely disappoints me. I love the cover.
Tangerine Dream Atem
Voto:
There has always been a side of Atem that I struggle to digest: the sound in general, which I believe is poorly equalized. Everything sounds rather muddled and confused, as if the good Derks had done everything in a hurry. In the next phase, there is definitely a shift towards a more canonical use of melody, but the search remains, indeed: especially in the triptych Phaedra, Rubycon, and Ricochet, the use of sequencers to mark obsessive rhythms is an almost absolute novelty, a precise act of research and exploration desired by the band.
Popol Vuh Nosferatu The Vampyre (Original Sound Track)
Voto:
In due time, the Popol Vuh made me discover the German scene of those years (I found them in the soundtrack of Aguirre). The record in question has a great charm.
Tangerine Dream Alpha Centauri
Voto:
Great review of a fundamental album, but at times it seems a bit naïve to me (the choir at the end of Alpha Centauri, the track). As for what the best period of Tangerine Dream is... Sometimes I feel that often greater accessibility is read as lower quality, and that doesn't quite sit right with me. For example, I really love Ruby which, always on the edge of trance, feels very cohesive and organic. And sometimes I even like some live recordings that are now fully accessible via YouTube even more: I see them as true precursors to modern DJ sets. And as for the 80s, I confess a deep love for Exit and Hyperborea.
Joan Armatrading Secret Secrets

Mel Gaynor on drums! I remembered a meeting point between Joan Amatrading and Simple Minds. Kudos for posting an interesting review about an equally interesting character (even though I admit: I've never really explored his work. Maybe this will be the time!)
Gentle Giant Three Friends
Voto:
I read a comment from someone who finds Gentle Giant to be a bit non-communicative. To me, this album in particular feels the most "intimate," where I sense the band delving into very personal memories (even though I generally prefer Aquiring The Taste). Subsequently, the Gentle, in my opinion, lost something important when Phil Shulman left.
Franco Mistrali Il vampiro. Storia vera.
Voto:
Great highlight, the vampire is always an intriguing character (especially interesting is to see how it has been treated and described over the centuries, leading up to the "modern" vampire from Polidori onwards, reaching the excessively precious protagonists of today's gnu mun and similar). I would have liked to see less focus on the publishing history (which is interesting nonetheless) in the review and a greater description of the work. However, come to think of it, I can discover that for myself.

You've triggered a memory: "Carmela, don't cry anymore, I killed for you"... (who remembers with me? I apologize for the dialect, it's not mine...)
