I really enjoyed it; there's a scene with the cat (I won't mention the name or which one) that almost brought me to tears - blessed be the darkness of the cinema.

Personal reasons (the ones below for a certain name mentioned in a certain passage - but here it’s a matter of my anonymity) have always made me dislike this record, which I actually prefer to "Good News." Today my sausage fingers have fumbled with the dots. For clarity, I gave it 4 at the reception.

Books that have helped me (to study the fall of the Roman Empire and to understand the role of the church during those years) and have comforted me (along with others, they made me realize that a world order is and will always be science fiction).

Distant memories of a Monsters of Rock (here in Italy), with Black Sabbath on the lineup during the Dehumanizer era. They launch into "War Pigs" and someone near me (I didn’t dare turn around) comments, "Hey, they’re doing that one by Sacred Reich!". They are a great memory of a very vibrant and interesting scene.

Record with things I like (the harpsichord and the drums in "Blind", really great!) and some that I like a bit less (I admit: I've never really loved "April").

The film is simply magnificent. I don't understand much about the special effects; stop-motion was in its early days (and it seems quite up to date and still effective), while there's so much to say about the incredible cinematography on the film, with techniques that were indeed cutting-edge at the time to make objects and people even more spectral (and I’m not just referring to the negative forest, but also to the ship, the shots of the spiders, the scene on the beach...).

I vote for them with much affection. The review reminded me of the folk festival in Busto Arsizio: packed with bands playing traditional Irish/Scottish/Anglo-Celtic music, all strictly from the upper Milan area...

The review gives me some ideas about the issue of Italian origin (especially the last sentence). It’s true that Italy is a somewhat marginal country in the rock scene - or at least provincial. All in all, I think the problem for some of the most talented bands that emerged during the Italian progressive period (besides those mentioned here, I think of Osanna) was not so much their origin, but rather their inability to stay united without degenerating into personal rivalries and internal disputes, as well as the lack of a true recognized leader capable of taking the reins of the discourse (even if it was just a manager). For many of them, it happened that after perhaps a stunning debut - or a couple of albums - the slightest financial difficulty or the first discord would cause the entire project to burst like a soap bubble. What a pity!

I was just thinking these days about a review of this album! Telepathy? An album that is a bit of a pride burst for the New Trolls, who were at risk of transforming from our "Bee Gees" into the Italian "Toto." Here, there are some very beautiful things alongside some rather clichéd ones; the production is a bit too polished (and certain keyboards) ruin what could have been the real impact of "L'uomo in blu." Some harmonies seem a bit syrupy to me nowadays, but wow, what a band... I gladly watch the eyes of the serpent! @Collapsing: beautiful image! May Werner von Braun be with you!
