Why do record labels saturate the market by giving space to clearly unnecessary and harmful bands? --> Because they focus on quantity rather than quality, which is also partly due to the fact that, given the declining sales, they start with the idea that anything will do... and because a large part of the audience (of any genre) doesn't really distinguish between quality groups or not but often wants the same old stuff.
