It's a personal problem. I didn't "actively" live through that musical period. And in the end, when it comes to Rock, I realize that I appreciate everything that is immediate, melodic, or "accessible" has very little. So, the minimal punk musical structures have never engaged me, even though I recognize the importance of the genre and this particular band. I have never liked them, but of course, the attitude that the episodes you mention convey is impossible not to love. There you go, I appreciate them for everything except the music :-). A concise and heartfelt review, yet full of substance. In short... Punk!
