And for the reasons mentioned above, here’s the vote et voilà!

Ok... I’m fed up. Now I’m going to share my thoughts on Avatar now that I've seen it.
Starting from the assumption that it’s a product of pure entertainment without excessive intellectual pretensions, I would say that, while it’s impeccable from a "visual" standpoint (occasionally stunning), there are some points to address. Two in particular: there’s a severe lack of psychological depth in the characters, who are reduced to mere stereotypes, and the screenplay is so predictable that even my seven-year-old son could have foreseen it after five minutes of the film. On these two aspects, even though it’s a blockbuster, they could have worked a bit more and better. For example, sticking with Cameron, in Titanic the characters were skillfully sketched with their nuances. In fact, the actors were there (DiCaprio, Winslet, Bates, Zane... all good if not excellent), here they are obviously superfluous and the film suffers as a result. There’s only a Weaver in the parody of the researcher. For these reasons, in the end, it seemed a bit too plastic, the effect was almost like being projected into a gigantic video game. Really too much even for someone like me who doesn’t disdain occasionally going to the cinema to see these big productions. I would say there’s nothing else to add. A funny review, even if disagreeable and (deliberately) exaggerated.

Even the de-classifications are fik. You're right BARTLE, but you have blamefully omitted to mention me among the excellent (good, at least decent, right?) new reviewers ;D

BARTLE just one thing, I’ve been visiting the site for about ten years but as a registered user for two; I’m not speaking as a total novice. I was signing in with another “astronomical” nickname. The editors can do whatever the hell they want, that is indisputable, but it’s also true that without us users, it wouldn’t exist. It seems to me that the overall quality level, even among the human cases, is declining, and not just because of a couple of choices. I agree that responsible participation on the site is the first step to ensure it maintains significant depth even amidst the most blatant nonsense. I perceive a vague decline, hopefully only temporary and not unrelated to the staff’s choices.

BARTLE. I believe that a balance must be found between the right amount of "messing around" and commitment. It seems to me that this balance has recently shifted towards messing around, and this is not only due to the de-users (and I take my share of responsibility when I consciously tend to feed it) but especially thanks to the editors and their choices as NES has clearly illustrated. Both for the HP and for the selected reviews. I, in my small way, try to contribute to making the site what it once was, an extraordinary opportunity to discover music that’s a bit different from the usual and also to foster some healthy messing around. However, I can no longer say that debaser is today that incredible vehicle that allowed me in the past to broaden my musical knowledge and beyond. The same spirit is no longer there. It goes without saying, if I am here on these pages, it's still nice, consider it as constructive criticism. But if the attitude is like it is for the HP...

A program worse than ridiculous. It is a deliberate attack on intelligence, on good taste, and it also represents (horror of horrors) a scientific intention to lower the moral bar by legitimizing any kind of wickedness. In its own way, it is truly exemplary.
A shareable outburst. A 5 in esteem even if you shattered an open door.

Ah, here we go, forget what I said...

Reviewing a match can be acceptable, especially if it’s an “event” and even more so if it serves as a pretext for broader reflections (as I skillfully did by writing about ITA-NZL in rugby hehehe...). However, in this case, I have strong doubts. I mean, for these things, there’s the gazette or the forum on gazzetta.it; it could even be well written but… well. Perhaps yours is a provocation.

Torturing the hunchbacks would only increase my already very high level of pleasure. The championship favorites heheheh....
