In my opinion, his comedy, if I may generalize, is a bit more "masculine". Deeply absurd, provocative, incorrect, and deliberately vulgar, it encompasses much of the dynamics and mechanisms that make us primordial boys laugh. But it's not as empty as it might seem. So it's quite understandable that it doesn't have you doubled over with laughter.
