Nice, nice even if not a 5.

Turn Of The Century and Awaken are great tracks, the rest not so much.

Great The Hitcher, I watched it last night too. Rutger Hauer is amazing! I don't think the remake will be up to par though!

Ouch, I put 3... I'll round up.

Well done! You really like this movie, it's obvious. I saw it a few years ago, and from what I remember now, I would rate it between 4 and 5. I should watch it again to judge better. Great Kevin Spacey (hey, detective...)
Yes Tales From Topographic Oceans

A step down from the previous 3 albums. The pleasant moments are still there, although perhaps less spot-on, but in some parts the excessive technique (despite the melody) becomes tiring, especially in The Ancient. 1st studio album with Alan White on drums.

Beautiful detailed review - I don't know all of this album, I prefer not to give a rating, even though those I've heard I like quite a bit.
Yes Close To The Edge

It may be that I prefer the style of Genesis; or the fact that I don't particularly appreciate Jon Anderson's timbre (even though finding it ugly is truly an exaggeration); or, more simply, because I judge various musical works more by the emotions they convey to me than by the actual value of the compositions. For these reasons, I can't give this album 5 stars, while acknowledging that it's a milestone in the history of progressive music. Regarding Zarathustra's comment: I think Geddy Lee has one of the worst voices I've ever heard; it has nearly ruined all the Rush songs I've listened to - if he had just stuck to playing bass and keyboards...

A pillar of progressive rock alongside the previous The Yes Album and the subsequent Close To The Edge.

The scene of "Buffo come?" is also memorable - just neurotic.
