Peter Gabriel Us

The intro of Come Talk To Me reflects my idea of how an album should start, truly fantastic! I also consider Us a masterpiece; I don't understand why it is often underrated compared to the previous works.

This one a little less, 3.5. DarkHaem, did you see the Exodus performance here in Manduria yesterday?

Great review, as always!

Well, for me it’s not a masterpiece. It’s a film that is definitely well-directed, with stunning sets, but I find these idealistic films a bit hard to digest. Let’s say I didn’t really identify with the protagonist and some of his choices are beyond my understanding.

Hi Fedenard, after listening to it a couple of times, I find myself in agreement with you. The album starts off very well with the first two tracks, but aside from a few other interesting pieces (like Sinead O'Connor's performance and the atmospheres of Rivers), there are a few songs too many. Honestly, I don't see the point of another Burn You Up, Burn You Down (probably the only one I skip when I listen to Up). Anyway, in my opinion, OVO is on another level.

Of this album, I only know the title track and Amour (excellent, in my opinion) and Amerika (really bad), so I prefer not to give a rating.

@Templare: you who have already listened to the album in question, which other work by PG would you say it resembles the most?
