It's useless to suggest reviews of bands like Dream Theater, Maiden, and others on this site.. It's a lost battle, believe me. As a long-time admirer of Dream Theater, I must say that this album didn't excite me much... I preferred the penultimate, Systematic Chaos, although even that one wasn't exceptional! It’s sad to say, but the times of I.A.W. and Awake are very far away.

Dismissed by everyone as a transitional album or the "worst of Maiden," provided we can even talk about the worst given the enviable discography of any other heavy metal band. That said, it’s an album I’ve always found immensely enjoyable, a masterful performance by Bruce who, on this album, is truly wicked and furious; it’s perhaps the darkest album by Maiden. I don't give it the maximum rating simply because it wouldn't be fair to "Killers," "The Number of the Beast," "Peace of Mind," "Powerslave," and "Seventh Son..." which remain the masterpieces of the band, but truly, it’s an incredibly underrated album. Not that I care too much since it has to please me first and foremost!

Nice review, they're very Zeppelin-esque a great record indeed! But as a huge listener of Page and Plant, I definitely prefer the originals :-)! Anyway, a band of great quality! I'm sorry for Gillen, truly talented! As you said, Coverdale and Plant in one!!!!

I love Carcass, but damn, I’ve never been able to digest this cover. It's truly offensive, especially because it's about Kennedy, who was a great man and fought for serious causes. I'd rather remember him alive than with a mashed-up brain. I think they could have definitely chosen something else.
