Great reception. I’ve already expressed my thoughts on the album in the past. The best of the beetles for me... my favorite along with "Magical Mystery Tour"... forget about the Sergeant. Full of rough gems. And a few duds here and there... but by now I’ve grown fond of its flaws as well.

"obviously, then, the habits of giving a 1 without even listening to a single note are hard to die." I listened to all the notes of this guy. From other albums though...

"Psychonaut" was really cool. I liked this one a bit less.

This guy would have all the qualities to make me like him, yet he has never said a damn thing to me. Whatever. Whatever...

I listened to the new album. What can I say... I've never understood what was special about these Verdena. I've always found them to be a... colorless band. That's the only adjective that comes to mind. The latest one is a bit better... at least they've stopped copying here and there along the Nirvana/Smashing Pumpkins/Motorpsycho axis and have toned down that damn falsetto voice that babbles out ungrammatical and embarrassing phrases from a 14-year-old playing at being a cut-up after reading a Cobain lyric. I heard something of Battisti from the 'Anima Latina' era in the new one. Better than the others. But nothing special... anyway. My ex used to like them a lot. Years ago. She even dragged me to see them live and I fell asleep. Meh. It's all good.. Ps. Jennifer Gentle are great. At least "Funny Creatures Lane" was an awesome album!
