Mmm. Discreet. Of the FVGAZI, "End Hits" reigns supreme over everything, for me.

Compelling review, yes. They really don't appeal to me at all.. I own the first album, but on the "Stoner" side, I prefer something else. I liked bands that were more purely psychedelic from this so-called melting pot.. Kyuss, Acrimony, and the early Monster Magnet above all.

The reception is quite so-so, okay... The album is really nice for me, a solid 4.5. Up until the next Meddle, I enjoy all the Floyd albums. Of course, The Piper, Saucerful, and Ummagumma remain the top for me. After Meddle, to me, who also has almost the entire discography, it doesn't say much...

The only thing of theirs that I managed to listen to was an EP. The Blue Room maybe? Something like that. For the rest... not even a cocktail of Minias, Valium, and Roipnol gives me the same soporific effect.
Slayer Reign In Blood

I haven't listened to Slayer in at least 20 years. But they were great back in the day, even though my favorite was Seasons in the Abyss.
The Smashing Pumpkins Oceania

Still Uncle Fester who, like Axl, continues to call himself by the name of his old band from back in the day? Sterile controversies aside, Siamese Dream was a great album. But beyond that, Uncle Billy hasn't created anything that touched those heights in my humble opinion... today it's just ridiculous.
Bauhaus Burning From The Inside

A most dignified epilogue for a truly great band. Beautiful. 4, 5 for the album, even though my favorite will always remain In the Flat Field! I’ll cast a sorrowful veil instead over their comeback album from a few years ago, that Go Away White... a tremendous missed opportunity to keep quiet...
Fear Factory The Industrialist

Mmm. I only listened to Demanufacture by them, an album I own, nice but it didn't resonate with me too much. Then from the second half of the 90s until the mid-2000s I was too caught up with other stuff and I didn't follow the musical "scenes" much anymore. Should I check out more?

Sometimes I go back to rummaging through the debaserian past when I put an album back on the turntable that I haven't listened to in years. And this, damn, is a masterpiece of an album. Every now and then it's good to dust off my vinyls :)
