It is 1999, the year when Fugazi and Jem Cohen released the film/video "Instrument", a documentary (and tribute) to the great band from Washington D.C.
I'm not talking about the video, but the soundtrack of the same name, the film's soundtrack and at the same time a collection of their best tracks from the last 10 years.

The tracks are a full 18, raw and underground, almost all in demo or instrumental format, therefore different from the official versions scattered across their numerous albums, but no less captivating; quite the opposite. In each song, you discover some very interesting variations and experiments compared to the originals; there's a sense of listening to the true music of Fugazi, the real originals, without the manipulations of producers, without "commercial concessions," without compromises.

For those who love the music of G. Picciotto & Co. this is an album that gives you chills, one of the best works of a group that, since 1987, has always given us intense emotions and electrifying D.C. Punk, a genre they pioneered along with Jawbox.

Give a listen to the sample and let yourself be hypnotized by the introductory drums and the engaging guitar arpeggio of "Slo Crostic."
