Mina Amanti di valore
Voto:
In the review rating, one star is awarded with my heartfelt compliments for the choice of the work reviewed: the era of Mina's double albums represented a phase of extraordinary quality for Italian music. I don't entirely agree on the "experimentalism" of Mina's double albums: at the time, it was possible; they weren't risky ventures that today would be seen as commercial suicides. It may be true that today Mina sings material of low value, but the fact is that in her long career she has already given us some gems, and therefore I have nothing to reproach her for if she doesn't want to experiment too much anymore: she has already contributed more than enough.
Kylie Minogue Come into my world
Voto:
One star for this terrible review is already too much, given that this piece represents an absolute excellence in pop music. I will pretend not to have noticed the numerous typos and content errors: for example, the paragraph dedicated to the video mentions a certain Michel Goundry who is evidently not Michel Gondry without the "u," meaning the director who crafted this masterpiece video for Kylie and who, to my knowledge, has never made anything for Britney Spears or Madonna (evidently, the reviewer is unfamiliar with the White Stripes and Daft Punk, to name just two famous acts). The description of the video is horrifying and does not do it justice at all: it is a brilliant visual work where the many Kylies do not "do the exact same things," but interact with a repetitive world that intentionally mirrors the repetitiveness of the song, which has been specifically adjusted to fit the video. There is much to say about the quality of this excellent piece, but I don’t see why to do so here: it's better to write a completely new review or ask knowledgeable people in the field like Darius.

Beautiful song by Kyliamore in perfect form. Review, I'm sorry to say mediocre: in this way it's easy to receive insults even if what is being discussed is actually perfectly deserving.
Kyary Pamyu Pamyu Nanda Collection
Voto:
I quote EVERYTHING (apart from the typos in the song titles): the entire circle composed of Kyary and her team works incredibly well to produce what is currently the best pop in the world, it is truly the case, I completely agree with the reviewer’s idea along with the deserved disdain for Lady Gaga. Kyary is working with the best composer currently on the scene (Yasutaka Nakata, the same one behind my beloved Perfume), with an exceptional art director, with the right director, and she serves as a spokesperson for companies that use her catchy tunes in their TV spots, making them hypnotic and impossible to avoid. Besides the devastating craziness, though, some songs are truly magnificent masterpieces: even in her first album, there were gems like "CANDY CANDY" and "Girigiri self," but here we go beyond with tracks like "Fashion Monster," which showcases Nakata at his highest level, "Kimi ni 100%" which is the definitive pop song, and above all "Invader Invader" which is stunning in every possible sense.

However, the cover is very beautiful.
Kylie Minogue Slow
Voto:
Forgive me, but this might be your worst review: it's really disconnected and slightly poorly written; I'm telling you this in a constructive, not offensive, spirit. Mailyn Monroe has nothing to do with it; it's Bardot that's the explicit reference, also mentioned in the booklet of "Body Language," where the singer is literally in cosplay of the French actress. "Slow" is a truly beautiful song, in my top 10 of Kylieamore, and the video is vaguely embarrassing to watch with your parents. The fact that she blows into the microphone instead of actually singing (yes, she always does that, but particularly here) doesn't detract from the electronic refinement of the composition, giving it an abstract and very ethereal allure: even in the most sexually explicit songs, Kylie is still impeccably clean and several steps above her colleagues who resort to dirty and vulgar tricks to convey eroticism.

Kylie, I love you, but here... I understand the money, but... La Pausini. La Pausini.

Really, no offense: it's a terrible song. Any mid-level band would have used it as a filler or a b-side, and if the artist is high-profile, they would have tossed it aside hoping that no one ever tracks it down for some posthumous rarities. The other night at the maccheroncini festival in Pagliare del Tronto, I heard Alexia: now she's going around singing her rearranged 90s hits in a funky-soul style, and I swear to you, and I'm being totally fair because I never liked Alexia even for a second, not even when I was 14, that even her ridiculous "Happy" is a masterpiece compared to this "Applause."
